Visited Pickering House Dental practice today for a filling which had fractured , I'm pretty nervous of injections but was made to feel at ease , staff are all polite, my dentist Sumaiya was excellent throughout the appointment .

After three years of not seeing a dentist due to covid, I'd brushed my teeth excessively exposing the roots on some teeth. I had my first appointment at Pickering Dental Practice (11 Dec 2023). On arrival, I couldn't find the location and had to phone the receptionist several times. She was pleasant and polite but her instructions didn't help because there was an overgrown bush blocking the sign and entrance. I stopped a passer-by who showed me the entrance. The reception staff were pleasant and the waiting area, clean and felt fresh. I was called to the consulting room where Nosh (the dentist) introduced herself. She was nice, pleasant and friendly. She explained some issues about registering with the practice then she examined my teeth. She discussed the discoloration at the bottom of my teeth, that some of the roots were exposed, exacerbating any sensitivity. She advised that I should brush less and more gently and explained that the sensitivity and discolouration will not improve by brushing more. I asked about having them whitened. She explained what the impact would be of whitening my teeth and approximate cost of whitening. As the practice also does cosmetic work she was prepared to make an appointment for me to see the cosmetic dental team. If however I chose not to have them whitened, she could fill the areas where the enamel had worn off which would reduce the sensitivity and colour match the filling to the existing teeth which would cover over the discoloration improving the overall look of my teeth, all for a total price of £70.70 (NHS charge). I decided to have them filled. The next appt was to do the filling on 28 December 2023. Nosh filled the bottom teeth as promised with good results, I spent less time cleaning my teeth and they looked whiter, felt cleaner. I was given a new appointment for 01 January 2024, (yesterday). Nosh has now filled the top teeth even adding a protective layer where the tooth was more sensitive. I feel great, my teeth look great not whitened, a natural colour and clean.

I love this practice! The staff are very friendly and professional. Miss Zaman is a great dentist! I had issues with a sensitive tooth for a few months and after sorting it out for me, I can now comfortably eat using the left side of my mouth again! Very gentle and the advice given at all my appointments has been fantastic. Had a funny interaction with the lovely receptionist regarding technology not working, but they've gone paperless which is fab for environment so wasn't an issue and was quickly sorted. I highly recommend this practice. Best dentist I've ever been too!

Due to some tooth pain I asked for an appointment and they were able to fit me in very quickly. Dr Handa filled me in on my dental condition and the options I had. She was very helpful and the practice workers were all lovely too. I recommend her and the practice to others 🙂❤️

Don’t normally review but I thought our experience warranted one; came in this morning with my uncle for a tooth extraction and we were warmly greeted by Maryam and her assistant, both of whom were absolutely lovely. I must say Maryam is the best dentist I’ve ever been to she was super quick, very professional, and explained the procedure and after care to my uncle in his own language for his understanding, which I thought was very kind and helpful of her. Would recommend her as well as this dental practice to anyone, genuinely amazing. Thanks again!

My husband and I attended our first appointment yesterday and we can both honestly say it was a great experience. Nothing was too much trouble for the dentist (a young lady) and we both came away feeling that we had had the best care. We can highly recommend this dental practice. 5*

Me and my wife had our first initial appointment today. The dentist we saw, was absolutely amazing. I am a very nervous and anxious patient due to previous experience else where. But the dentist put me at ease, and made me feel comfortable throughout my appointment same with my wife. The receptionist was very polite and helpful, with a lovely smile on her face. But the disappointing part was the nurse, the nurse was very rude to me and my wife and very abrupt and it made us feel very uncomfortable. Apart from that, the practices is absolutely fantastic with a very good service.

Was recommended this practice due to how nervous I felt and I have to say this has been by far the most patient dentist I’ve ever seen and it is down to the practice that I am no longer struggling. While they have openings I would recommend anyone register with them, I honestly don’t know what I would of done without them. The ladies are all so professional and patient with me and I am very grateful for the support they provide.
