We felt very welcome at this B&B and would have loved to stay longer than just 1 night! Very friendly and attentive staff, great spacious room with comfy bed (and huge bathroom!), and fabulous breakfast. Great location, within easy walking distance of the centre of town and the cathedral. Cannot find any fault in this place!

We had our wedding breakfast and reception at St John's House a couple of weeks ago. Every room at the venue was decorated beautifully from the drawing room, reception rooms and outside areas. The bedrooms were all beautiful decorated and each one was unique. The St John's room was perfect to get ready in with plenty of space for me and all my bridesmaids. The food was delicious with all dietaries requirements met, the food service was efficient and all the staff working were incredibly helpful, friendly and accommodating. The whole afternoon and evening ran very smoothly thanks to everyone's hard work and as a couple we felt relaxed and could just enjoy the day knowing the team had everything under control. The location was perfect as our guests could walk to the church and there were plenty of hotels within walking distance for non immediate family who were unable to stay at St John's. Thank you to all the staff for making our day so incredible. Highly recommend.

Just got back from my daughter's wedding at St. John's house. What an amazing venue! The way the event was managed with such care and attention to detail, along with the professionalism of staff, made for an exceptional stress-free experience. The food was magnificent in both it's presentation and taste. Rooms: Luxurious! Carefully chosen decor throughout and thoughtfully furnished bedrooms with extra touches to facilities such as fresh milk. Walkability: It is in an ideal location to explore the sites and shops of Lichfield by foot. Food & drinks: The food is delicious with all allergies catered for. The service is excellent, with staff training clearly a priority. Noteworthy details: If you are looking for that special venue for a family event or a romantic break in the Lichfield area this is definitely the one to go for.

This has a very boutique feel; clean and well appointed. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I was there for an entire week, and given that I booked a room that was not appropriate given my height (6'8'') they were accommodating and helped me figure out a way to resolve the situation. Breakfasts in the morning were superb and location was a couple of short blocks outside the center of Lichfield, a city I have come to like very much! Thanks again!!

Well located, has parking and a bar inside. It closes a bit early, it's a luxury bnb basically. The service is really good, although, at breakfast you may have to look in the kitchen to order food since they don't come out often to check the tables. The room is really nice and big, with a big TV and clean bathroom. The rooms are quite old, so that the floor makes a lot of noise when walking around. The shared areas are really comfortable. It's not cheap, but a really nice place to stay, highly recommended. Rooms: Rooms are a bit old and the floor is noisy, but they are big and comfortable, with big TV and clean bathroom. Walkability: Really close to the main streets, lots of restaurants around. Food & drinks: They have a bar inside, but the bar and desk closes at 8pm. For breakfast you might have to pop up to the kitchen to order, the dinning room is not visible from the kitchen and they don't come often.

In the centre of Lichfield with access to bars, restaurants and other hotels, St Johns House stands out as more than the luxurious B&B that it is listed as. The rooms are unique, offering features that make you want to try ALL the rooms; beautiful, free standing baths to vast beds. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. We had a wedding for 60 people, at the venue, just before Christmas and could truly call it magical. Part of this was due to the magnificent way in which the whole house was decorated, with each part of the house becoming its own unique space. With a DJ in residence in the Pavilion room, adjacent to the well stocked and reasonable bar, and the Drawing room filled with board games, it catered for everyone. Added to that, the informality of high quality roaming food made for an excellent atmosphere. Dan, the proprietor, gave us care, attention and guidance throughout the process, making it so easy for us to enjoy the day we wanted, without any hassle. No request seemed challenging for him and we can't thank him and his team enough. Rooms: Each unique and spacious. Booking a wedding here means you book either eight rooms in the house or all twelve rooms, including the four in the stables. All are beautifully appointed with unique features.

Stayed one night and our room was beautifully decorated in William Morris designs. Great to have a sofa that we both could sit on. Usually one of us would have to sit on the bed! Very spacious accommodation, stayed in the terrace room. Even had French doors to a garden space with a table and chairs. Location central, excellent dinner recommendation at Larder. Super breakfast.

Really lovely room with a high standard of finish. I was in the single room in the attic as I am just under 6' tall it was just manageable. Had a lovely cooked breakfast. Definitely would stay again.
