The room needs to be painted, there are stains on the walls, from some sort of leak and other stains. The grout in the shower needs a scrub. Nice enough room but not worth the £129 pricetag

Very welcoming as you drive up to the hotel the bar area very nice the staff were very helpful & welcoming. The room was large plenty of room for a couple or a family. Comfortable clean & warm. The hot water had no pressure in the sink and took over 5 minutes to run in the shower so the water pressure needs looking at and there was a smell of damp in the bathroom this was mentioned when I checked out so would like to think these issues were looked at before the next guest. I would stay there again
Food & drinks: Well priced menu

Bar, food, staff amazing. However radiator didn’t work in our room - had to ask for a heater. Shower didn’t work. Either scorching hot or freezing cold with no power/little trickle. The heating in the pub was fine but alas we were not the only ones complaining. The lady manager could not apologise enough and went above and beyond to help.
Rooms: Vast room for improvement as they let the pub and staff down

Room clean and comfortable apart from the the worst lumpy pillows ever! We ate in the restaurant for our evening meal but were slightly disappointed after reading people’s good reviews. My husband ordered the sea bass and king prawns. Although his meal was nice , the absence of king prawns was very disappointing. The prawns that were on his plate were definitely not king prawns. I ordered the forestiere chicken breast which again was nice, apart from the chicken being extremely dry. Thank goodness for the sauce! The young waiting staff were very pleasant and efficient. However, the opposite has to be said about the breakfast staff. We went into breakfast to find that both the coffee and orange juice jugs were empty but were told by the staff member that he would fill them now! 15 minutes later they were still both empty so we had to ask again. The breakfast was very nice though apart from my order being wrong. When I mentioned this the waiter said it was because the kitchen was very busy ( no apology though!) . This surprised me as there was only one other couple having breakfast …….not good service. Not sure we would be repeat customers, sorry.

The staff was exceptionally helpful, in particular Zoe and Evie, who couldn't do enough for us during our stay. The food was excellent, the room was spacious and very clean. The only observation was that the mattress was a little too hard for me.
Rooms: The room we had was spacious and very clean.
Safety: We felt very secure staying in this accommodation.
Food & drinks: A great choice available, was good quality and well presented. The price was very good as well.

The room wad lovely. However very hot! The windows.were also not the best didn't close properly and being next to a main road when they were doing roadworks was pretty loud. Also other guests (which isn't your fault) made alot of noise early hours so interrupted our sleep. Also the shower wasn't the best it was very slow and where it had been cleaned before the shower holes.were all out of lime.meaning water went everywhere.
Food & drinks: Food was lovely a little overpriced and not too much choice.

All excellent except as noted below.
Room superb.
Breakfast noted as starting at 8 am (Sunday) but did not get service until 8.25 and needed to be at service at National Arboretum for 9.15 which influenced my choice of food as needed to be quick - so in a way felt a bit cheated in this respect- would have preferred a quicker service on the breakfast - but staff were good and polite.
Rooms: Excellent clean and modern room
Food & drinks: Lovely food in very pleasant surroundings

Staff were amazing, they were accommodating and friendly. Food was amazing, so good to have so much choice with gluten free. Room was lovely, bed very comfortable and a fantastic shower. Went for my birthday and have only ever had a drink in the hedgehog but have been telling everyone they need to stay there.
Food & drinks: Fantastic, really accommodating for coeliac. Everything is triple checked to make sure it's safe

Lovely pub/hotel. Room was comfy and clean. Gorgeous (and huge) beer garden. Nice restaurant with plenty of gluten free options and understanding staff that made sure food was safe for allergies etc. Particularly, service was excellent, management seemed to really care about our stay and they went above and beyond to make sure we were happy - Justyna in the restaurant was a gem!
Food & drinks: Gluten free options plentiful and staff considerate to allergens
