As a Church Minister, and Chair of the Employment Team, at an independent church I have a good payroll service but have found it difficult to get quality HR support. With a leadership review on the horizon, we needed to consider this. We looked at a range of options available for churches, many of which appeared cheaper at first glance. However, most offered quite limited support for their lower price, followed by very high costs for additional help. We opted for Keelys’ all-inclusive package which provided all the support we needed for a fixed subscription and have never regretted it. As a retired Executive Headteacher, I am used to a high-standard HR service but, even compared to that, Keelys support is exceptional. They always respond very promptly, usually the same day. The quality of their assistance is superb, recognising our context and tailoring the advice to it. We have one contact so the relationship developed is good and we are not needing to repeatedly re-explain things to new people. Keelys also offer to check over all your HR policies and supply missing ones as needed. I can highly recommend this service to any church as all need to be on top of HR to support employees and protect employers in this modern world.

My experience with them was just ok. The job was done but I felt rushed during our communication all the time, constantly reminding me that they were being paid by the hour. I felt I couldn't explain my case well and they made me feel that I was bothering them. I also had a tight deadline to get a contract reviewed and my solicitor didn't work on Fridays so if you need something done quickly, this is not the best option. I guess as a last resort they are ok, but I will check for other options in the future if I need legal advice again.
