It's a very nice walk. It will be better when the Lichfield canal has been restored and the disused railway is back in operation.

It's a nice place to walk on the edge of the city. Wish there were faster progress on the restoration of the canal but am struggling to see how it will ever connect to the other side of Lichfield.

Plenty of benches to sit and look at the country side, the canal is being restored by volunteers so is taking time but bringing back narrow boats to Lichfield will be a nice attraction.

Great restoration of the Lichfield canal by some dedicated and expert volunteers. Go and see the progress.

It wasn't the place where I was supposed to be going, the map took me to Lichfield Canal which is under construction but people can still walk there

Beautiful, especially in the snow and ice. It's not easy to get up to the tracks. Although, I may have gone the wrong way. Ha ha. Not sure there is a designated path. The walk nearby is also great. If you walk past the tracks (where the construction is), you'll get to a level crossing with gorgeously overgrown lights and a signal box. Lovely place to visit. Unique opportunity for everyone, but especially the little ones. Was very quiet a few days ago.

Very wet and muddy. Wellies definitely needed. Very quiet...unlike most parks and nature reserves atm. Would love to come back in drier, warmer weather.

Plenty of space for dog walking and taking in the views of Lichfield cathedral in certain places.. Explore and find them. 👍

Totally loved what the volunteers have done so far. The volunteers are re-creating a living waterway for leisure, wildlife and to the benefit of the community. And because the railway is no longer in use its safe to walk on the tracks, theirs and old railway signal box and crossing but be careful there is alot of asbestos around the signal box
